Understand what we do

KNOW WHERE IS THE PILAR, THEN THINK ABOUT AN INSANE THING

Every building has their own signification that a lighting designer need to understand and have a same feeling with that. If lighting designers are not able to know what those buildings are about, the result they make would be definitely rough and conflicted with the previous ideas. Therefore they have to know.

Many aspect of architecture that a lighting designer can study: what is the category of the project (for public or for private), the nude ideas, how the climate affects to building, what culture in that place, the residential or the owner's hobbies.

How the light could filter to the architecture?

In many architecture's points of view, LIGHTING and PLANTING is alike. Indeed, look at how the trees spoil to us, and those are exactly what we receive from the light. A light possesses abilities simulating as: VISUAL, EMOTIONAL, BIOLOGICAL aspects. Those are 3 levels of lighting that a lit designers must bring to the users.

Even a fire fly can bring enough light for tasking, that's how intelligent boy, Mac Dinh Chi (a 24-year-old renowned Vietnamese Confucian scholar), did usually. He was using the light as a purpose VISUAL, then he could study all night. So when we do lighting, think about how people use the lighting in that space. If you make the light interesting, but not ensure the function as it was, boom, just threw that lighting into the trash bin and don't look back. How can we work under a light that we cannot distinguish our pencils with the other ones' pencils.

EMOTION is a golden thing that we need to touch at when do a project. Think about many other aspect of the light when you already bring enough illumination for that space. Where is it should focus, where is it should uniformize them. Furthermore, consider about it should be vertical, horizontal, color-changing... Now the light becomes a vital material, that an artist should know where is his "pencils".

The highest dimension that a lighting manipulator must know is BIOLOGICAL aspect. Now the quality of lighting is significantly considered, as a finishing material - a last layer upon many layers, of a elaborate drawing. The key of biological lighting is we aim to adjust the artificial light as natural in all lighting qualities. Many factors of lighting that we cannot observe but our bodies react to it very gradually. Some of them could be about saturation (CRI, TM-30-15), lighting color perceivable range (in Mac-Adam Eclipse), URG (Glare rating)... So, perhaps, human can live happily and treat others kindly as the dawn period, under a good lighting.

Lighting is figging stunning, but how come?

We coordinate with many people to get the best lighting solution

Technical is a extreme important thing that an Luminaire Exert need to have a deep knowledge about. Lighting is very delicate as a empathetic lady. A very tiny better change in light could requires many illumination index improve following. And as we do lighting, we cannot leave new technology knowledge behind.

Update new light fixtures, new lighting solution over the world. Open to contact to many lighting manufactures, to absorb new products from them.
For some casual cases, we need to stock a deep knowledge about lighting detail. Flexibly, for any purpose of the spaces we emit, we have different way to enhance effectively spaces.

Fluent Internal Communications is key

In addition to the ability to connect with external stakeholders, seamless teamwork is also a determining factor in achieving the consistent quality of a lighting project. The field of lighting itself involves the assimilation of vast amounts of information from various consulting parties, making it essential to possess skills in data analysis, organized collaboration, and a willingness to share, contribute, and build ideas to produce the best possible end product.

Distinguish bad light and good light

Light encompasses a rich spectrum, with each shade, intensity, and quality serving its unique purpose in different settings. A well-designed lighting scheme is one that fulfills the specific requirements of the space it illuminates. But let's journey deeper into the complexities of light, where we explore the profound interplay between light and our human physiology.

At a fundamental level, light is not just a tool; it's an environmental cue that orchestrates our biological rhythms. The impact of light on our bodies is more than a matter of visibility; it extends to the intricate dance of hormones and neurotransmitters. When exposed to light for an extended duration, our bodies respond to even subtle shifts in illumination. The balance of melatonin, cortisol, and other vital substances can be influenced, and this delicate equilibrium plays a pivotal role in our overall well-being.

Harmonizing with Circadian Rhythms and
Illuminating
Experiences

Light extends beyond visibility, affecting our bodies' biological rhythms and well-being.

The human body is a marvel of adaptability and vulnerability. It's remarkable how such a finely tuned system can be influenced by the environment it inhabits. This sensitivity to light underscores the significance of aligning artificial lighting with the natural circadian rhythms of day and night. Properly orchestrated lighting can positively impact our sleep-wake cycles, mood, and overall health, all while enhancing the functionality and aesthetics of the spaces we inhabit.

Now, let's pivot to another facet of lighting - the power of the brief, yet impactful, lighting experience. In these fleeting moments, our brains undergo remarkable perceptual transformations. A shift in lighting can infuse a space with intrigue and meaning, elevating it beyond the mundane. The interplay of light and shadow, color and intensity, can turn an ordinary environment into an extraordinary one.

These explorations into the multi-layered world of light underscore the pivotal role it plays in our lives. It's not just a utility; it's a conductor of experiences, an influencer of biological rhythms, and a catalyst for emotional responses. As we navigate the intricate dance between light and humanity, we continue to uncover its profound potential for enhancing our lives in countless ways.

Let's Create Something Beautiful Together.
